I pass the 1,500 mile mark as I hike the Appalachian Trail through the beautiful states of Connecticut and Massachusetts.

I left NYC and the city life behind me and stepped back on the Appalachian Trail and was met with new trials from heat to parasitic bugs.

After hiking on the Appalachian Trail for 18 straight days in a row, it was time for a break as I got off trail and headed to NYC for some fun zero days.

New Jersey proved to me infinitely better than Pennsylvania. It really is the Garden State! And even better, I ran into old and new friends.

As if the rocks of Pennsylvania weren’t enough, Mother Nature decided to rain for days and flood the trail with puddles and mud.
