Tragedy strikes my electronics as my fellow hikers and I continue on the Appalachian Trail into the 100-Mile Wilderness.

The beauty of Maine begins to shine through as I hike across the mighty Bigelows and take time to swim in several refreshing ponds.

The struggle is real as I reach the 2,000-mile mark on the Appalachian Trail. Maine is beautiful but hot and I am ready for the end.

After the White Mountains I finally cross into Maine, the last state on the Appalachian Trail. I wonder if my body will make it to the end!

I keep on pushing myself through the White Mountains to beat the coming rains but it takes a toll on my body.
