Superior Hiking Trail + Gear List

I’ve decided on a whim to tackle the Superior Hiking Trail. This 310-mile trail begins in Duluth, Minnesota, and travels northeast along Lake Superior to the Canadian border. I would like to finish the trail in about two weeks which will require me to hike about 22 miles per day. After hiking the Appalachian Trail and New Zealand’s Te Araroa, this should be a quick and easy thru-hike. How bad can the hills of Minnesota be? Or will the bugs get me? Adventure awaits!

I decided to attempt this trail just four days before my start date. As one can imagine, I scrambled to get all my gear together. But this isn’t my first rodeo; having devolved into hiker trash several times before, I was ready to make the transformation once again. Check out my complete gear list below.
